wine of the week
Chakana Estate Malbec
Chakana is the name of the Southern Cross constellation. Its rotation in the sky throughout the year made it an effective agricultural calendar for the ancient Andean people.
The Federalist Pinot Noir
The Federalist Pinot Noir is bursting with dark fruit notes with a touch of floral and oak notes to revolutionize your taste buds.
J. Lohr Wildflower Valdiguié
Made from Valdiguié, an uncommon grape from southern France. Its light body makes for a good chillable red perfect for the heat wave we're having (at the time of this writing).
Unshackled Chardonnay
On the nose, notes of sweet cream, juicy white peach, green apple, and a hint of minerality are accented by brown spice and vanilla. The mouthfeel is round and smooth but balanced by bright acidity with hints of stone fruit and honey make for an elegant and perfectly ripened chardonnay from the Central Coast.
Fleurs de Prairie Rosé
A pale salmon color, with delicate flavors of red fruit and lemon, and a subtle note of tropical fruits on the finish. Its bright, refreshing acidity makes it a perfect companion with a meal or as an aperitif.
M. Chapoutier Belleruche CDR Blanc
The blend is 60% Roussanne, 20% Viognier, and the rest Grenache Blanc and Clairette.
