Join us for the Merry Edwards Wine Dinner with Table for Twelve by Chef Thaddeus Bruno and Pete Beem, sommelier for Southern Glazer.

This will be a five course meal, paired with wines from Merry Edwards. Each course will be presented at the same time and the pairing will be explained.

MEET & GREET

Chef’s Surprise!

COURSE 1: Grilled mackerel & orange salad

Fresh mackerel fillet grilled, blood red oranges, chilis served atop a watercress, spinach & rocket salad.
Paired with Merry Edwards 2022 Sauvignon Blanc.

COURSE 2: Braised fennel gnocchi

House made potato gnocchi, braised fennel swimming in chardonnay cream sauce.
Paired with Merry Edwards 2022 Anderson Valley Chardonnay.

COURSE 3: ShiItake & smoked duck enchilada

Cold smoked duck breast, shitake mushrooms sautéed in truffle butter & manchego all rolled into a house made tortilla then drowned in an appenzeller mornay sauce. Roasted to perfection & served with a dollop of gorganzola cream sauce.
Paired with Merry Edwards 2022 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir.

COURSE 4: Roasted beet & grilled irish trout salad

Irish trout lightly brined then grilled with a light peach glaze served over a roasted beet salad with pistachios & goat cheese.
Paired with Merry Edwards 2022 Russian River Valley Pinot Noir.

COURSE 5: Decadent flourless chocolate cake

Triple the chocolate, espresso powder bake into a richly dense cake.  Topped with house made vanilla ice cream and drizzled with a sweet pinot reduction.
Paired with Merry Edwards 2021 Meredith Estate Vineyard Pinot Noir.

Thaddeus is the Chef/Owner of Table For Twelve, going on year two bringing culinary experiences into the Effingham area's homes and business's one delicious bite at a time. Specializing in fresh and sustainaabale ingredients to create unique and memorable events.

About Sommelier Pete Beem

Pete Beem is a Level II Certified Sommelier with many years of experience in fine wine and fine dining. He is passionate about educating and entertaining guests, as well as the art of pairing wines with food to enhance the dining experience.
